There are some cases today where modern medicine conflicts a problem with most people. However there is one case that is going on nation wide and is causing a huge debate. this case is the legalization of medical marijuana. Medical marijuana is starting to be legal in some states like Colorado, California, Arizona, Montana and just recently Wisconsin. Most people are arguing about the fact, that marijuana is marijuana, that it is the drug that gets teenagers high and "out of it", kills brain cells, and makes you hungry, and tired at the same time, and it is the illegal drug that puts you behind bars. what most people do not understand is that marijuana is a plant from the cannabis plant and marijuana can help cure diseases and it is actually used for kimo therapy and cancer, and also helps with chronic disorders. I know of this conflict about medical marijuana being a good or bad thing, because it has been on the news and in the papers, people in different states held marches and rallies to pass the bill for legal marijuana, and is talked about nation wide among teenagers.
I am for the Barack Obama interview because, I think he is completely right, he says prescribing medical marijuana to a cancer patient or other type of disease patient is no different than prescribing morphine or other drug doctors have to do the same job as medical marijuana. the prob 19 ad is just a commercial that takes the idea to its fullest and try's to scare everyone in American on how to not fall into the lie of legal marijuana.
For my how to speech, I demonstrated how to make a fruit smoothie. I think I did well with eye contact, speaking loud and clearly, and showing the steps on how to make the fruit smoothie. Areas of improvement would be speaking for the whole five minutes, and when things do not go properly in the speech, just shake it off and keep going, I felt like I did not keep going I was kind of shaky with the rest of my speech and rambled on with the blender did not work. I also felt like I could of been more prepared with my speech and should of practiced if the blender were not to work and what to say after it. This is my reaction to the how to speech and next time I will be more prepared.
